An exciting opportunity has arisen to work as part of the team at Palliative Care Australia (PCA). PCA is a dynamic and forward-thinking national peak organisation whose mission is to influence, foster and promote the delivery of quality care at the end of life for all.

The purpose of this position is to edit ehospice Australia - a news and information resource published on a dedicated website and mobile application. The successful applicant will be responsible for publishing ehospice weekly, ensuring it is produced to the highest standards, using house style and maintaining a rigorous system of quality control.

Main Tasks and Responsibilities

• research, write and edit online content, including video and audio
• develop and manage relationships with external contributors
• manage an editorial advisory committee
• publish content on the website, mobile application and via social media channels
• set the editorial agenda and come up with new ideas
• liaise with international colleagues to further develop ehospice. 

To be successful in this role, the candidate will have experience of sub-editing a newspaper/journal/magazine; experience of publishing to the web using a CMS and asset manager; exceptional writing and editing skills; and be fully conversant in the use of the MS Office suite, Photoshop, Illustrator and audio and video editing software.
