Governance

AHHA's Board and Council members represent the broad continuum of healthcare services including area, regional and district health services, hospitals, community and primary health centres, aged and extended care facilities.

The National Board (Governance) consists of up to 8 Directors (who are elected by and from the National Council annually plus Immediate Past President when relevant).

AHHA is endorsed as a Health Promotion Charity and holds Deductible Gift Recipient Status. Our work is directed at improving society through improved standards of healthcare in hospitals, primary and community health care, aged care and other health services and through research.

AHHA Members unanimously adopted AHHA’s Constitution as proposed at a Special General Meeting on 20 July 2015. The 20 July 2015 Constitution ensures a governance structure for the organisation that reflects and meets the contemporary needs of our members, as well as meeting our legal compliance requirements.
