  • The Director of Management Accounting is responsible for developing, monitoring and enhancing the Management Accounting and Reporting function for Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS) to ensure it contributes positively to the efficient and effective management of WBHHS.
  • Provide strategic leadership and advice to WBHHS senior management with respect to all aspects of the budgeting/forecasting, performance management and reporting processes for the organisation.
  • To act as Deputy Chief Finance Officer (D/CFO) as required.
  • Provide comprehensive strategic and operational leadership to the teams within their portfolio to achieve Organisational objectives.
  • Provide expert professional analysis, advice and recommendations to the Board, Finance Committee, Chief Financial Officer (CFO), Executive Management Team (EMT) and executive management in relation to management accounting issues including recommendations designed to enhance the efficiency, effectiveness and quality of management information and reporting.
  • Provide strategic leadership, direction, guidance and day-to-day management of the Management Accounting Unit of the WBHHS and ensure the integrity, credibility and completeness of all WBHHS management accounting and business records and reporting.
