The Quantum Leap - Health Innovation: Making Quality Count

The 2014 Quantum Leap Conference was a great success. Nearly 200 delegates came together for two days of discussion, learning and networking. With a range of high quality local and international speakers, common themes that emerged included the importance of strong governance and accountability, the focus on efficiency and effectiveness and the importance of patient-centred care. A further clear theme was that to achieve true health reform, the mission must be 'transformation' and not simply 'restructure'.

With the positive and constructive advocacy approach of the AHHA recognised by Minister Dutton in his address at the Conference Dinner, the messages and learnings from the Conference will provide valuable input to our ongoing advocacy and membership representation activities.

- AHHA Chief Executive, Alison Verhoeven.
