Paul Dugdale is a Public Health Physician with a special interest in health service development. Paul joined the Board of AHHA in 2014 and was Chair from 2015 to 2017.

Paul is Director of Medical Services in the ACT Health Service. Within ACT Health he is also Medical Director of Chronic Disease Management, and was Executive Director Rehabilitation, Aged and Community Care for nine months in 2018. In 2016 he was seconded to NSW Health as Director of Medical Services for the Shoalhaven Hospital Group. From 2002-2008 he was Executive Director of Population Health and ACT Chief Health Officer.

Paul studied Medicine at Flinders University. He did an MA by research in Sociology at ANU and a PhD on health financing at the University of Sydney. He has a full academic appointment in the ANU Medical School as Associate Professor of Public Health and Director of the ANU Centre for Health Stewardship, where he writes and teaches in social and political theory.
