Siobhan Harpur

Ms Siobhan Harpur is Transition CEO Population Health, Tasmanian Department of Health and Human Services.

Siobhan has managed primary health, mental health, oral health, aged care and rural and community health services in Australia and England. She was instrumental in a financial sustainability analysis that flagged the changes ahead with workforce, demographic and health care needs in rural communities in Tasmania.

In 2007 Siobhan was appointed to coordinate implementation of the Tasmania Health Plan including leadership to increase and develop health promotion, primary and secondary prevention, self management, and community engagement and partnerships with the GP Divisions and University of Tasmania.

In July 2010, Siobhan was appointed to her current position to lead a strategic review that will make recommendations to the State Government for the development of a response to health inequity in Tasmania that includes establishing a cross sector Prevention Council for a Fair and Healthy Tasmania.
