A Canberra and Region event presented by ACT, Murrumbidgee and Southern NSW Medicare Locals

To solve some of our most challenging health and wellbeing issues, we will sometimes have to look outside of health for some of the answers. We also have to understand that the greatest solutions to health challenges lie in working with clinicians, patients and the community. It’s about doing things differently. ‘Whole system working’ is a radical way of thinking about change in complex situations. Achieving outcomes in the community’s health and wellbeing in Canberra and Region relies on the actions of many individuals, groups and organisations - both government and non-government. They are beyond the ability of any one agency or individual to fix. To drive better outcomes and get systems such as health working better, we need to think about the connections between the parts – how things fit together. Join with other health and community service leaders and implementers at the 2014 Future Thinking Symposium to talk and learn about:

 How we might apply whole of system thinking

 Local and regional innovation in health and social care

 Solutions to contemporary local and regional health and social care challenges

 The role of future primary health networks in improving the system.
