This session will discuss how the health sector can use a value-based approach for environmental stewardship and how climate change as a public health issue has influenced HESTA and its activities. 

Speakers

Akaash Sachdeva

Akaash has over 10 years experience in the delivery of responsible investment. He joined HESTA in February 2018 as Senior Responsible Investment Adviser to support the implementation of HESTA’s leading Responsible Investment strategy, including climate change strategy and active ownership programs.

Prior to HESTA, Akaash was an Environmental, Social and Governance analyst for Regnan, a global leader in long term value, systemic risk analysis and responsible investment advisory. Akaash has also worked with the Monash Sustainability Institute. 

Akaash holds a Masters of Corporate Sustainability from Monash University and Bachelors of Commerce and Arts from Latrobe University.
