Eileen Willis

Eileen Willis is Research Training Lead with the School of Graduate Research, and a member of the leadership team of the Health Workforce Academy, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Social Sciences at Central Queensland University, Australia. She holds Emeritus Professor status with Flinders University, College of Nursing and Health Sciences and is on the Board of Governors for Parkinson’s South Australia, and a consumer representative -  Parkinson’s Australia.

Professor Willis is a sociologist with research interests in Indigenous public health, particularly access to health services for Aboriginal people in remote areas, and in rationed nursing care and staffing in acute hospitals and residential aged care.  She has published widely in both areas including four editions of the textbook, Understanding the Australian Healthcare system.
