Value-Based Health Care Conference

Location: Perth, Western Australia
Venue: Parmelia Hilton Perth
Date: 27 May 2021 9:00am to 28 May 2021 04:00pm

The inaugural Value-Based Health Care Conference will be held in Perth and online in May 2021 to raise awareness of value-based healthcare (VBHC) and the work being done in this area across any/all disease types or conditions. VBHC focusses on delivering the outcomes that matter most to patients at the optimal cost. This approach is already transforming whole health services e.g. NHS Wales, the Dutch health system and has been adopted by some of the largest health care providers worldwide e.g. MD Anderson.

The aim of the conference will be to showcase and celebrate Australian value-based healthcare innovation, initiatives, implementation, research, and training from all areas of the health care system, with discussion on topics as diverse as cancer, stroke, dental health, and more.

Focus will be given to practical applications of VBHC, rather than a theoretical approach, with innovative opportunities for involvement and discussions about how to put VBHC into practice and the conference will also feature the inaugural Australian Value-Based Health Care Awards.

The conference will now be held in a hybrid format (both face-to-face and virtual modes) and registration options for both modes are now available. Because border access may be uncertain for some time, if you register now for early bird virtual attendance and find that you can attend in person, you will have the option to upgrade to F2F attendance at the early bird price until 30th April 2021.

The conference will be preceeded by an intensive online workshop ‘Measuring Outcomes That Matter’ facilitated by Elizabeth Teisberg, Scott Wallace and Alice Andrews from the Value Institute for Health and Care, University of Texas. The workshop can be booked as part of your conference registration. For more information about this, click here
