The International Hospital Federation (IHF) will present prestigious International Awards for the first time at the Opening Ceremony of the 2015 Chicago World Hospital Congress. The awards will recognise and honour hospitals and healthcare organisations for innovation, excellence, outstanding achievements and best practices in areas that are worthy of international recognition.
These awards will present a unique opportunity to participate in a forum of likeminded innovators and to access a platform of dialogue with peers engaged in similar projects.
Award Categories
IHF/ Dr Kwang Tae Kim Grand Award
- Open only to IHF Full and Associate Members – all AHHA members are eligible.
- Will recognise excellence and achievements with proven results at health system or facility level in all areas including quality and patient safety, corporate social responsibility, innovations in service delivery at affordable costs, and healthcare leadership and management practices.
- The winner will receive US$5,000 to cover travel and accommodation to the Congress and three complimentary Congress registrations
- The runner up will receive two complimentary Congress registrations.
IHF Excellence Awards in:
* Leadership and Management in Healthcare
* Quality and Safety and Patient Centered Care
* Corporate and Social Responsibility
- Open to IHF Members and non-members who demonstrate excellence and achievement, with proven results at facility or unit level
- The winners of these Awards will receive US$2,500 to cover travel and accommodation to the Congress and two complimentary Congress registrations
- The runner-up in each category will receive a complimentary Congress registration
- Multiple projects may be submitted in all categories.
Receipt of monetary prizes by winners of the Grand and Excellence Awards is conditional on attendance at the presentation ceremony at the 2015 IHF World Hospital Congress in Chicago.
