We are looking for a go-getter with demonstrated administrative and organisational skills, someone who can manage varied tasks, within limited timeframes, while conducting themselves in a friendly and welcoming way.

About the role

The administration officer plays an integral role in delivering a professional and welcoming first impression to the AHHA. The administration officer is responsible for taking phone calls, receiving visitors, making travel bookings, maintaining the public areas of the AHHA office, creating professionally formatted documents, providing administrative support for events and meetings, liaising on behalf of the organisation with a wide range of people from Ministerial staff to AHHA members and general administration assistance to support the day to day operations of the organisation.

This is a varied role so we are looking for someone who can juggle priorities and multitask while still providing impeccable customer service to external and internal stakeholders.

This position would be ideally suited to someone who:

  • Is an enthusiastic and motivated team player who is keen to take ownership of the role and make an immediate contribution to the organisation.
  • Will be hands on, with a keen eye for detail and a willingness to take on and embrace new tasks and processes as the role requires.
  • Is flexible, dependable, easy going and an excellent communicator
  • Has strong interpersonal skills, organisational skills, and a high degree of maturity.

Experience working within the health, disability or community services sectors would be highly regarded.

To be successful in the role you will be able to demonstrate:

  • Prior experience providing front office reception and/or administrative support.
  • Demonstrated competency in using Microsoft Office suite programs and a willingness to learn internal databases and systems.
  • A proactive and solution-focused approach.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a small team.
  • Excellent planning, time management and organisational skills.
