Development and Commissioning Officer

The Development and Commissioning Officer role involves primary health care program development, planning and commissioning to address identified priority needs.   It requires a strong understanding of the primary health care system and population health planning principles, as well as skills and knowledge in undertaking commissioning in the primary health care environment. 

This role ensures that services, activities and initiatives designed to be commissioned, are developed to the stage that they can be procured ensuring they comprise high quality evaluation and research methodology, cost benefit analysis and are aligned with, and monitored against, the strategic plan and objectives of the Adelaide PHN.

Skills and Experience:

  • Experience in liaising with primary health service providers
  • Involvement in health research and evaluation will be expected
  • Expertise and experience in researching and critical analysis of complex issues in human service delivery and service development
  • Working knowledge of the principles of commissioning from a primary health care perspective
  • Qualifications in health, social science, or community development will be highly desirable, but not essential.
