  • The Director Executive Services is accountable for the effective management of the Office of the Health Service Chief Executive within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service.
  • The Director Executive Services provides the Corporate Secretary function to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Board
  • The position operates in a complex environment involving a wide range of competing priorities and stakeholders, with often very short timelines. The Director of Executive Services is required to deliver high level, sensitive policy advice and take autonomous actions in support of the functions of the Health Service Chief Executive and the Hospital and Health Board.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated achievement at a senior level in delivering high quality services and progressing a reform agenda in a large and complex organisation including and understanding of the health care system and national health reforms, or an ability to rapidly acquire this knowledge.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high level strategic, analysis and advice particularly in relation to public sector programs in a regional environment.
  • Proven experience in ensuring that a statutory entity complies with all legal, financial, corporate or statutory matters;
  • Demonstrated high level negotiation, consultative, communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to deal with the competing needs of various government, non-government and community stakeholders.
  • Possession of outstanding personal qualities consistent with the Queensland Health and Hospital and Health Service values, Code of Conduct and leadership framework including self belief, self awareness, self management, drive for improvement and personal integrity.
