The Executive Director of Operations and Performance position is a senior leadership position within the Launceston General Hospital (LGH), reporting directly to the Chief Executive Hospitals North. The primary purpose of the role is to provide strategic and operational management of the LGH, ensuring the delivery of quality services while meeting the requirements of the Service Plan, Patient Flow & Access, Finance & Budget, and other relevant performance indicators.

The Executive Director of Operations and Performance must have advanced management capability in guiding the strategic development and operations of the Hospital, including the efficient and effective use of resources and the management of a multidisciplinary program. The position holder is required to operate autonomously and is expected to exercise considerable initiative and professional independent judgment across the spectrum of responsibilities. The position holder must champion and lead organisational change and improvements by identifying and implementing improvements to work processes and systems while maintaining the highest standards of quality, accuracy, and timeliness of advice.
