Job Description:

The Executive Manager – Strategy, Engagement & Performance oversees the Western NSW Primary Health Network’s (WNSW PHN) strategy, engagement & performance team.

This role provides overall management of WNSW PHN’s strategy, engagement & monitoring function relating to planning, health data, performance management, research and innovation.

Skills and Experience:


  • Relevant health related and/or marketing/ communications bachelor’s degree level qualification
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a senior leadership role
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in strategy development and implementation
  • Demonstrated experience in Population & Public Health Planning
  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture including a commitment to cultural safety
  • Demonstrated experience in strategic stakeholder planning and management
  • Demonstrated planning, analysis and evaluation experience in commissioning Health Services
  • Demonstrated experience in planning and budgeting
  • Demonstrated experience in leading transformational change
  • Demonstrated ability to motivate a team
  • Proven strong analytical skills
  • Demonstrated strong project management experience and/or qualifications
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proven high level interpersonal skills including excellent written and verbal communication skills, time management and organisation skills, attention to detail, honesty and integrity, and demonstrated ability to develop effective working relationships (internally and externally)
  • Proficient with computer software applications, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel


  • Post-graduate and/or Masters or Higher
  • Relevant professional association
  • Experience in generating revenue from various sources
