About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for leading the Operations Branch in support of NT PHN’s goals and strategies. The role will strengthen organisational performance, lift capability and lead with impact.

The Executive Manager Operations works in close partnership with other members of the Senior Executive Leadership Team and provides high level strategic operational advice to the CEO and wider organisation on all aspects of operations including emerging trends, risks and opportunities impacting on service delivery and statutory compliance.

As an Executive Leader with NT PHN you will draw on your experience and knowledge to lead a diverse function which includes:

  • Information and Data Management (IDM) - including information and data governance, information and data analytics and management, records management, information security and ICT infrastructure. As a new function within NT PHN, this will include the establishment of the IDM function.
  • Human Resource Management (HRM) - including business partnering, change management, learning and development, industrial and employee relations.
  • Communications and Marketing - including social media/digital, corporate communications marketing, stakeholder engagement and events.
  • Corporate Support Services - including facilities management, general business support and executive support.
  • Legal, Governance and Compliance in line with statutory and regulatory requirements.

Your transformational leadership style and your experience in management will aide you to build high performing teams that deliver exceptional, and client focused results. You role-model and drive values-based behaviours across the workplace to foster a high performance, collaborative and values driven culture.

The successful candidate will possess the following (key selection criteria):

  • Tertiary qualifications in business management/administration or a relevant field. Relevant post-graduate qualifications would be highly advantageous, as would an understanding of company structures and governance in a Not-For-Profit organisation.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a leadership role, working in a fast paced and dynamic environment preferably at Senior Executive Level.
  • Proven track record as a strategic thinker with demonstrated experience in developing and leading strategy, policy and standards across operational services and translating strategy into actionable goals and activities for performance.
  • Demonstrated transformational leadership style to drive change, with superior interpersonal skills to lead and motivate cross-functional, interdisciplinary teams and build strategic relationships with internal and external stakeholders, partners, industry leaders and government. 
  • Demonstrated experience in business planning, financial and budget management of corporate assets and resources.
  • Demonstrated superior analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with strong risk management and business management acumen to support decision-making critical to organisational success.
