About the Opportunity:

Reporting to the CEO, this role is responsible for leading a newly established branch and providing expert leadership, advice and support on complex strategic planning, health planning, business portfolio management, service and policy issues.  

The Executive Manager Strategy Implementation and Partnerships works in close partnership with other members of the Senior Executive Leadership Team, providing high level strategic planning and reporting advice to the CEO and wider organisation.

This role is a unique opportunity to take on a challenging role that is accountable for delivering transformational strategic and collaborative leadership in the following areas:

  • Strategic Planninglead the development and coordinate the systems for strategic and business planning and associated organisational reporting. The role will identify and translate opportunities and strategies into actionable goals and plans for performance. Business Development – oversight the development and implementation of specific growth strategies including a business development framework and plan that aligns with NT PHN’s long-term NT PHN strategic direction.
  • Portfolio Management (PMO) – companywide portfolio management including the establishment of the PMO office. Business plan coordination and reporting.
  • Regional Engagement - including the development of strong regional partnerships with stakeholders and community leaders as well as Council Engagement. 

In addition, this role:

  • Provides high level and expert strategic advice to CEO and SELT on strategic planning and portfolio management through effective planning, management and control of assigned resources to ensure cost effective outcomes within agreed budget parameters.
  • Identifies opportunities to improve implementation and evaluation of strategic and business planning processes to enable better performance tracking and reporting capacity.

The successful candidate will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualifications in business administration, health management or similar. Relevant post-graduate qualifications would be highly advantageous, as would an understanding of company structures and governance in a Not-For-Profit organisation.
  • 5-10 years’ experience in a strategic leadership role, working in a fast paced and dynamic environment, preferably at Senior Executive Level.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading high performing teams and aligning performance with NT PHN’s cultural and behavioural standards.
  • Proven track record as a creative strategic thinker that harnesses opportunities to continually improve the delivery of operations, with experience in leading implementation of strategic functions achieving high quality services and systems in a frame of continuous improvement that is aligned with strategic goals.
  • Demonstrated superior interpersonal skills with a proven ability to influence and build collaborative relationships with a wide range of internal and external customers, partners and stakeholders in an environment requiring cultural sensitivity.
  • Knowledge and experience working in a complex health environment (desirable).
