$130,000 - $150,000 pa plus super, concessional salary packaging, 6 weeks annual leave

Job Description:

This is a great opportunity for a leader who is genuinely passionate about achieving an integrated, primary health care system across the Northern Territory.  The successful applicant can choose to be based in Darwin or in Alice Springs.

As Executive Manager Workforce & Outreach Health Services, you accept accountability for leadership of the Health Workforce program and Primary Health Outreach Services.  This team integrates the functions of the Rural Workforce Agency within the Primary Health Network.  Your role will oversight the development and effective implementation of:

  • co-design and collaboration with primary health care providers
  • workforce development strategies including recruitment, retention, education and training initiatives
  • pathways for the future NT workforce across all primary health care professions
  • strategies and programs to develop the clinical and non-clinical Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander primary health workforce
  • locum services that improve workforce sustainability
  • commissioning of visiting primary health services to rural and remote communities

Skills and Experience:

An understanding of the primary health care system and its workforce issues is desirable.  Tertiary qualifications in health or management will also be highly regarded.
