Western NSW Primary Health Network (WNSW PHN) is currently seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for primary healthcare and community wellbeing.
The WNSW PHN funds a range of health services and programs to improve access to care and better health for our communities.
Main Responsibilities
Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the Chief Operating Officer (COO) will support the transformation of the organisation to ensure that the short, medium, and long-term goals of the Strategic Plan are met. The goal of the COO position is to secure the functionality of business to drive extensive and sustainable growth. This involves a collaborative approach and leadership to organisational, cultural, and structural change, asset management, service innovation, sustainability, operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement.
The COO will inspire a positive high-performance culture and deputise for the CEO.
What we look for in a candidate
Essential
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field.
- Significant experience at a senior manager level, including high level strategic thinking and planning skills and experience working with boards of directors.
- A track record in organisational capability building and in leading and managing high performing teams.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate, influence and gain commitment.
- Ability to network and engage with a diverse range of stakeholders at a senior level.
- Proven experience in the development, implementation and evaluation of strategy, policy, and programs.
- Demonstrated sound financial management and administrative skills.
- Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and web-based reporting systems.
- People management skills and experience in building a team to deliver to a business strategy.
- Capacity to travel within western NSW; hold a current driver’s licence.
Desirable
- Experience working in the health, NGO or community services sectors
- Experience in working with Aboriginal people, organisations and communities in view of planning and implementing services and achieving outcomes for Aboriginal people.
