  • To provide senior, strategic leadership and direction to the human resource services team in provision of high quality human resource services to the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service (WBHHS).  
  • This position is a senior member of the Human Resource Services team and actively cooperates with other senior members to achieve the strategic goals of Human Resource Services within the WBHHS.

Skills and Experience:

  • Knowledge of the legal requirements and best practice approaches to workforce relations and ability in translating this into improved organisational performance.
  • Ability to support complex organisational change processes including the provision of authoritative advice to clients regarding best practice approaches.
  • Ability to independently manage complex employment matters including conduct of investigations and advocacy at relevant tribunals, demonstrating a successful track record.
  • High level consultative, interpersonal, negotiation and communication skills including the ability to deal with complex issues in a sensitive and impartial manner.
  • Ability to provide a broad base of human resource management consultancy support and advice to clients.
  • Ability to research and analyse complex issues and provide recommendations that contribute to the development and delivery of business outcomes.
  • Ability to design, implement and manage a diverse range of workplace relation management projects and services to deliver timely and effective results with competing priorities.
  • Ability to formulate and deliver responsive capability development initiatives for clients focused on individual and team performance optimisation and the ability to conduct difficult conversations and holding others to account.
