Remuneration value up to $151,859 p.a., comprising salary between $125,787 - $133,097 p.a., employer contribution to superannuation (up to 12.75%) and annual leave loading (17.5%) (AO8) (Applications will remain current for twelve months)

This position has responsibility for the management of the Operational, Administration, Medical Records, Coding and Support Services for the Bundaberg and Rural Hospital facilities within the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service. This responsibility includes the leadership in planning, monitoring and evaluation of Operational and Administration services. The position operates with a significant level of independence in the delivery of the programs and services and has delegated authority as contained in the Delegations Register.

This position reports to the Director Operational and Support Services.

Skills and Experience:

  • Demonstrated ability to provide effective leadership and management in a large multi-disciplinary complex health organisation.
  • High level interpersonal, negotiation, conflict management and communication skills including the ability to deal with the community representatives, unions and other external organisations.
  • Demonstrated ability to implement and manage organisational change and innovation.
  • An understanding of the Occupational Health and Safety standards and their application to Operational Security Services within the HHS.
  • Well developed problem-solving skills and the ability to plan for effective and efficient service delivery within the health care facility.
  • Highly developed business, finance and analytical skills to manage and monitor performance
  • A highly developed knowledge and ability, at a strategic level, to supervise and manage staff in line with quality human resource polices within Queensland Health.
