Applications for the role of Clinical Director within Queensland Health are open.

The health service is seeking an innovative clinical leader with strong management experience who will collaborate with the Executive and Senior Management team to provide clinical leadership and drive a high-quality service for this regional health service provider. 

You will lead a team of 13 Consultants, 16 PHOs, 11 RMOs as well as 4 Interns and medical students from James Cook University. There will be an appropriate University appointment available for suitably qualified doctors. 

The Clinical Director position offers you the chance to mould the future of the health service from the ground up. Managing a team of consultants, you will draw upon your leadership skills to evoke full engagement to enable effective change management and growth within the service. 

With the James Cook University campus on-site and involvement in the Northern Clinical Training Network there is excellent opportunity to grow the research portfolio within the Department. 

You will have a demonstrated ability to actively seek out improvements to service delivery, initiating change and consulting with all team members. You have detailed knowledge of, and experience in, governance and risk management principles and practices to achieve goals of the organisation. 

You must hold Fellowship with the Australian College of Physicians and unconditional registration as a specialist with AHPRA.
