  • The Cardiology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care, and co-ordinate the comprehensive care of patients over the age of 16 years with Cardiac conditions. As a core member of the interdisciplinary team, the Cardiology Nurse Practitioner provides advanced nursing care and ensure the provision of comprehensive, individualised quality patient care to patients within the Cardiac area of practice.  The nurse practitioner is authorised to practice as a nurse practitioner with legal provisions to diagnose, prescribe medication, order diagnostic tests and refer to other health professionals.
  • The Nurse Practitioner will provide expert nursing care, utilising a case management model and coordinate the comprehensive care of patients requiring Cardiac care in the Wide Bay.

Advanced skill in nurse-patient relationships that achieve optimal outcomes in complex health care settings.
