The Role
This position is responsible for providing technical advice and management of clinical governance matters within QLD. This position is responsible for managing quality assurance systems of the health services delivered to the Australian Defence Force members. This will entail the implementation of quality improvement activities, providing technical advice and oversight of healthcare complaint and clinical incident management, internal and external stakeholder engagement, policy development and oversight of the internal clinical audit program and quality improvement activities.
About our Team
The Health Governance Manager plays a pivotal role in the clinical governance team in QLD supporting two Joint Health Units (South Queensland and North Queensland). The position is based in either Brisbane or Townsville and involves managing the quality assurance systems of the health services delivered to the Australian Defence Force members in the area. This includes providing technical advice and oversight of healthcare complaint and clinical incident management, oversight of the internal clinical audit program and quality improvement activities. These duties involve analysis of healthcare data, engagement with internal and external stakeholders and policy development.
Our Ideal Candidate
A high level of communication skills is required for liaison with contracted, uniformed and Australian Public Service workforce as well as Command and external service providers. The role also involves networking with Health Governance Managers in other regions across Australia and promoting a continuous improvement model of healthcare provision.
