Total remuneration range:

$113,871 to $135,629 pa (LEVB) OR $139,498 to $160,870 pa (LEVC) (inclusive of $97,325 to $115,586 (LEVB) OR $119,229 to $137,496 (LEVC) salary pa and 17% superannuation)

Job Description:

Seeking an Implementation Scientist, experienced in mixed methods or qualitative research to work on a suite of academic and clinical research projects focusing on innovation, implementation, and evaluation within health services. Projects include digital disruption using intelligent decision supports for more responsive care, better patient outcomes, and greater efficiency.

Skills and Experience:

The ideal candidate will have extensive mixed methods or qualitative research skills and be experienced in research undertaken in a healthcare setting.

Selection Criteria:

  1. Doctoral or masters qualification in health services research or a closely related field (e.g. health economics, implementation science epidemiology, public health, nursing, psychology).
  2. Experience in researching, evaluating or supporting the implementation of complex interventions, and complex systems change, including strong abilities in mixed methods or qualitative research.
  3. Demonstrated experience in complex multi-disciplinary multi-partner health services research projects, including developing research proposals and writing reports, conference papers and peer review articles.
  4. Highly developed communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work both as a team and independently.
  5. Experience in facilitating practice change and/or clinical service redesign in ‘real world’ settings.
  6. Understanding of implementation science methodology, knowledge mobilisation, knowledge translation and quality improvement.
