Salary Range:

Total remuneration range: $113,871 to $135,236 pa (LEVB) OR $139,498 to $160,870 pa (LEVC); (inclusive of $97,325 to $115,586 (LEVB) salary pa OR $119,229 to $137,496 (LEVC) salary pa; and 17% superannuation)

Job Description:

Seeking an experienced Health Economist to undertake health services research projects, across a broad range of clinical areas to improve value for money among health services. Experience in mixed methods research and working in multidisciplinary teams, as well as experience working in a healthcare setting will be advantageous.

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will work in high-functioning teams conducting health services research in priority fields including (but not limited to): cardiovascular health; vulnerable and complex populations; end of life care; aged care; mental health; low value and high value care; hospital acquired complications; health service & system reform; respiratory health; orthopaedics and trauma; clinical informatics and digital health.

There will be opportunity for the appointee to develop new projects and obtain competitive funding, in alignment with the objectives of the Centre and with the approval of the AusHSI leadership team. The ideal candidate will have extensive health economics skills and be experienced in research undertaken in a healthcare setting. Experience in mixed methods research and working in multidisciplinary teams will be advantageous. A relevant clinical background is also desirable (but not required).
