Senior Project Officer – Mental Health

The Role:

Western NSW Primary Health Network (WSNW PHN) is currently seeking a motivated individual who has a passion for primary healthcare and community wellbeing to join our Strategy, Engagement & Performance team as Commissioned Services team as Senior Project Officer – Mental Health.

The Senior Project Officer - Mental Health, will assist and support the Portfolio Lead – Mental Health, Drug and Alcohol and the broader Mental Health Team, with a focus on project management, to contribute to the development, implementation, delivery and reporting of a range of mental health projects and commissioned programs.

The position can be based in any of our main offices: Dubbo, Orange, Broken Hill or Bathurst.

Essential:

  • Demonstrated understanding of Aboriginal culture including a commitment to cultural awareness and safety.
  • Demonstrated experience in health and community services.
  • Demonstrated ability and skills in project coordination
  • High level administrative and project skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strategic, analytical, problem solving and planning skills.
  • Stakeholder relationship management skills to support effective systems change with improved health outcomes.
  • Proven ability to identify innovative solutions and influence outcomes.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage various project elements simultaneously,
  • Strong communication skills and ability to liaise with a range of stakeholders.
  • Good organisational skills and a pro-active approach to work tasks.
  • Well-developed skills in the use of Microsoft office products.

Desirable:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications would be highly regarded and/or extensive relevant experience preferably within the Mental Health sector.
  • Experience in working with Aboriginal people, organisations, and communities in view of planning and implementing services and achieving outcomes for Aboriginal people.
  • Experience working in the Mental Health sector, particularly in rural and remote areas.
