NWRH is now seeking full-time Speech Pathologists to join their teams in Mount Isa or Longreach.

NWRH is now seeking full-time Speech Pathologists to join their teams in Mount Isa and Longreach.

As part of a supportive, diverse, and multidisciplinary team, you’ll be providing speech pathology services in regional North Qld, and in collaboration with a range of specialists, to provide holistic care and long-term treatment and prevention strategies.

Working with a diverse range of clients, you'll get to live and work in parts of Australia that many never get to see - set your own schedule and help the community members thrive.

Helping people who may not otherwise have access to healthcare and support, you’ll see the real difference your work makes in rural communities as you enable clients to live and receive high-quality care locally.

Core duties:

  • Administer standardised and informal tests and observe clients to determine the nature and extent of their communication disorders or swallowing difficulties;
  • Provide treatment and management of speech, language, learning and communication disorders that may be developmental, part of a disability, acquired as a result of injury or disease; and
  • Deliver family centred early childhood intervention strategies

Skills and experience:

You will need to be registered, or eligible to obtain registration with AHPRA and Speech Pathology Australia, and have a passion for providing quality healthcare to rural communities.

In addition you will need: 

  • A combined blue card & NDIS worker screening (Apply online at this link);
  • A current, unrestricted 'C' class Australian Driver's Licence; and
  • The right to live and work in Australia

Successful candidates will receive an excellent salary package comprising of a base salary up to $91,320 (commensurate with skills and experience) plus super.
