Stakeholder Governance and Relationships Manager

The Stakeholder Governance and Relationships Manager is responsible for overseeing the management of a governance structure for four key advisory bodies to the Wentworth Healthcare Board – the Clinical Council, GP Advisory Committee, Community Advisory Committee and Allied Health Advisory Committee.  This position also acts as a conduit to escalate issues and ideas relating to primary healthcare raised by General Practitioners, other health providers, consumers and other external and internal stakeholders.  It also provides general stakeholder and relationships advice and support to the NBMPHN.

Some of the main responsibilities include:

  • Develop and manage a NBMPHN stakeholder governance framework to support the effective operation of the Clinical Council, GP Advisory Committee, Community Advisory Committee, Allied Health Advisory Committee and GP and consumer/community representative roles.
  • Work collaboratively with the NBMPHN Executive, Senior Managers and staff to integrate GP and consumer engagement arrangements across the organisation to ensure alignment and consistency of approach.
  • Identify and build relationships with key stakeholders to promote collaborative partnerships that enhance existing activities and the development of new initiatives.
  • Contribute to the design and delivery of best practice engagement strategies to support stakeholder feedback and advice.
  • Act as a central point of contact for emerging stakeholder issues – capturing, assessing, referring and/or mitigating or resolving these in consultation with key stakeholder committees, the NBMPHN Executive, Senior Managers and staff, and other external stakeholders e.g. NBMLHD.
  • Manage and facilitate meetings of the GP Advisory Committee, Clinical Council and Allied Health Advisory Committee.

Skills and Experience

Essential Criteria

  • Relevant qualifications in management, communications, health or related field to perform duties as the Stakeholder Governance and Relationships Manager.
  • Demonstrated strong stakeholder engagement skills and strategic relationship management experience.
  • Knowledge and/or experience of the primary healthcare setting within the Australian context.
  • Previous success in managing a team to achieve desired outcomes within specific timeframes.
  • Highly-developed interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, including report writing and the ability to speak well in public.
  • Experience working with and/or supporting strategic committees including developing agendas and briefing papers
  • Competent information and communication technology (ICT) skills with either experience in using webinar technology or a willingness to commit to learning and using webinar technology.

Desirable Criteria

Experience working with clinical and consumer representative groups.

Demonstrated understanding of the social determinants of health, social gradient and social equity.
