Monday, December 20, 2021

The Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA) announced today the appointment of Ms Kylie Woolcock as Acting Chief Executive following the departure of Mr John Gregg.

‘On behalf of the Board of AHHA, I would like to thank John Gregg for his contribution to the running of the Association over the past six months and wish him well following his decision to spend more time with family who live interstate,’ AHHA Chair, the Hon Jillian Skinner, said today.

‘We are very fortunate to have a strong team at AHHA, and the Board is delighted that Kylie will lead them as they continue the important work based on its Blueprint for outcomes focused, value-based health care endeavours which reflect contemporary governance and funding arrangements, proposing strategies to strengthen the Australian health system,’ Mrs Skinner said.

Kylie Woolcock has been Director of Policy at AHHA for the past 5 years.  She has worked in the health sector for over 20 years, starting her career as a pharmacist, before moving her focus into health workforce development and service implementation. She has extensive experience in the for-purpose sector, bringing the diverse views of stakeholders together with the evidence base to influence and effect change.

She has worked with a range of health professions, service providers and governments; from the perspectives of education, accreditation, policy, professional practice, clinical service provision, and regulation; and from a local region, national and international focus. She has postgraduate qualifications in health economics, artificial intelligence, training and management.

‘I join with the Board in welcoming Kylie to the important role of Acting Chief Executive and in wishing John Gregg the best for the future,’ Mrs Skinner said.

The Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA) is the national peak body for public and not-for-profit hospitals, Primary Health Networks, and community and primary healthcare services.
