In August 2012 the Australian Government announced the establishment of a child dental benefits schedule - Grow Up Smiling - as part of its dental health reform package.

Grow Up Smiling will be implemented in January 2013. The Department of Health and Ageing sought public feedback to inform the design of the Grow Up Smiling program.
