Your Smile Lab is a groundbreaking initiative that has transformed denture production in Victoria’s public dental system. As the first public sector digital denture laboratory, it removes long-standing barriers to access, ensuring that public patients receive high-quality, well-fitting dentures faster than ever before.
Previously, public dental patients faced wait times of 22 months or longer, requiring multiple clinic visits and experiencing inconsistent prosthetic quality. Your Smile Lab replaces outdated manual processes with 3D scanning, CAD/CAM design, and digital fabrication, streamlining the entire workflow. As a result, patients now receive their dentures in as little as 5-7 weeks, with a better fit, fewer adjustments, and improved durability.
Since its soft launch in mid- 2023 and becoming fully operational in early 2024, Your Smile Lab has provided over 1,869 services, including full and partial dentures, mouthguards, and repairs. The initiative has led to greater then $550,000 in annual savings, reducing reliance on external labs and reinvesting in public dental services.
In partnership with Dental Health Services Victoria (DHSV), YourCH has developed a scalable, sustainable model that enhances workforce training, supports regional expansion, and improves public oral health outcomes across Victoria.
