About the Deeble Institute

Rigorous and independent research

Established in November 2011, the Deeble Institute for Health Policy Research is the research arm of the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association (AHHA). At the Deeble Institute, we develop and promote rigorous and independent research that informs national health policy. Our goal is to make evidence the cornerstone for health policy development in Australia. Published research work is also used by the AHHA to inform its policy and advocacy program.

What we do

Inform

We undertake rigorous and independent research with academic partners and health service members that informs national health policy.

Connect

We connect researchers, policymakers and practitioners when they need expert advice and create opportunities to translate research into good health policy and practice.

Facilitate

We facilitate knowledge exchange through events, lectures, workshops and short courses.

Partner

We partner with  Universities and health service providers to achieve their policy objectives through designing and implementing grants programs.

Our members

Deeble members are academic or research focused full members of the AHHA, who agree to collaborate with the Deeble Institute to further our program of health policy research.
