eHealthier, an Australian healthcare innovator, began its journey by developing a secure cloud-based platform to help healthcare providers, patients, and payers manage, assign, collect, analyse, and report on Patient-Reported Outcome and Experience Measures (PROMs and PREMs). While our platform’s technical capabilities have been well received, extensive stakeholder engagement revealed a critical gap: many users struggled to see how these measures fit into the broader framework of VBHC.
In response, we developed an innovative, self-paced VBHC course designed to bridge this knowledge gap. The course was crafted by experienced medical professionals, VBHC experts, and digital specialists, and covers key elements such as interactive case studies, simplified VBHC frameworks, and a dedicated module on innovation and digital technology in healthcare. Accredited for 15 CPD hours by RACGP, AMA, and ACRRM, the course equips healthcare professionals with practical tools and insights to deliver patient-centred, outcome-driven care.
Our key objectives for this project are:
- We aim to deliver cost-effective, practical, self-paced education that bridges critical gaps in understanding and implementing VBHC principles – using PROMs and PREMs as key tools;
- We empower healthcare professionals to leverage patient-reported data for enhanced care quality, informed decision-making, and effective outcome tracking;
- By merging theoretical knowledge with access to our secure cloud-based platform, we provide practical tools that transform care delivery; and
- Achieving CPD accreditation from RACGP, AMA, and ACRRM and forging partnerships with healthcare organisations enables us to promote VBHC education globally.
Together, these key objectives ensure that our project drives lasting improvements in healthcare delivery.
