Professor Graham Mann

Professor Graham Mann is Associate Dean Engagement and Partnerships, College of Health and Medicine, Australian National University and the immediate past Director (2019-2024) of the John Curtin School of Medical Research. He holds honorary appointments at Melanoma Institute Australia and Westmead Institute for Medical Research, University of Sydney, where until 2019 he co-led a highly translational research program on melanoma supported by NHMRC Program and Centre for Research Excellence grants. He has worked on all aspects of cancer control, especially genetic and environmental risk and the use of molecular markers and targets to improve its diagnosis and treatment, resulting in more than 300 primary research articles that have been cited more than 40,000 times. Now working in Indigenous health, he served as Director of the National Centre for Indigenous Genomics (NCIG) in 2020-22. He is a Fellow of the Australian Academy of Health and Medical Sciences and committed to reform of health systems so that they deliver equitable, evidence-based, individualised prevention and care.
