I recently had the opportunity to work for the Australian Centre for Value-Based Health Care under their secondment program. At the time I was working at the Transport Accident Commission (TAC) in Victoria who gave me the opportunity to work part time at the TAC and at the Centre. This was a unique opportunity for me to work alongside thought leaders and policy makers within the Australian Centre for Value Based Health Care, the Australian Healthcare and Hospitals Association and its broad network of public health stakeholders to learn and progress Value-Based Health Care across the system.

The expertise of the team at AHHA and the Centre provided me with a positive culture and learning environment which allowed me to participate in key pieces of work, such as, the development of the VBHC Allied Health Framework for QLD Health as well as developing case studies and webinars to educate and inform VBHC implementation approaches.

The most valuable part of this role has been the enduring connections I have made across the sector with like minded executives and clinicians who are committed to transforming health care.

Working alongside such passionate and committed people has energised me. I look forward to continuing to work alongside and with the AHHA and Centre and can speak of the deeply enriching learning and collaborative environment the team created.
